Quik'n Tasty Foods Inc. Recalls Po Boy (Lunchmeat, Ham, and Cheese Sandwich) Because of Health Risk

Quik'n Tasty Foods Inc. of Belton Missouri is recalling Po Boy (Lunchmeat, Ham and Cheese sandwiches) ink stamp dated 101 N6, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. 

Po Boy sandwiches were distributed through Quicktrip convenience stores located in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois and Arizona, between April 18, 2005 and April 29, 2005.

The product is labeled Po Boy and is ink stamp dated 101 N6 on the label. The sandwich is wrapped in clear packaging, and may contain an additional orange date sticker. Regardless of the date on the orange sticker, the product is under recall if it bears the 101 N6 code.

Jilbert Dairy Recalls Vanilla Supreme Ice Cream Because of Possible Health Risks

Jilbert Dairy of Marquette, MI is recalling its pint and l/2 gallon packages of Vanilla Supreme ice cream because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. 

The recalled Vanilla Supreme ice cream was distributed in retail stores across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and bordering Wisconsin counties.

The product comes in a pint and l/2 gallon paper container with a production number of 5053 stamped on the bottom.

Prime Deli Corporation Recalls Sandwiches Because of Possible Health Risk

Prime Deli Corporation of Lewisville, Texas is recalling 63,476 units of 7 Eleven Grilled Sandwich and 7 Eleven Big Eats brand sandwiches because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. 

The sandwiches are labeled with “Handmade On” codes of 0502 through 0507 located on the product label. The product was packaged in flexible plastic film. Recalled products are as follows:

CaJohns Fiery Foods Recalls Barbeque Sauces Due to Undeclared Anchovies, Soybeans and Wheat

CaJohns Fiery Foods Company is voluntarily recalling 16-ounce glass bottles and 1-gallon size plastic jugs of several brands of barbeque sauces because they contain undeclared anchovies, soybeans, and wheat.

The specific brands of barbeque sauces being recalled are CaBoom! Bayou-Q Barbeque Sauce Spicy, CaBoom! Barbeque Sauce Hot, CaBoom! Bayou-Q Barbeque Sauce X Hot, Gecko Gary’s Brushfire Spicy BBQ Sauce, Irish Scream BBQ Sauce, and HDH Grillin’ Sauce. All lot codes of these sauces are being recalled for re-labeling.

The recalled barbeque sauces were distributed nationwide through retailers, mail order and web sites.

Distributors and retailers that have these products should immediately discontinue distribution and notify CaJohns Fiery Foods Company for instructions on handling the recalled products.

Ziyad Brothers Issues Nationwide Recall of Ghandour Halva Because Of Possible Health Risk

  Ziyad Brothers Importing is voluntarily recalling Ghandour Halva, all lots and flavors of both regular and sugar free halva,due to possible contamination with Salmonella sp.  The possible contamination was  found in lot number 233401 of Sugar Free Plain Halva, lot 233402 of Sugar Free Pistachio Halva and lots 233404 and 233406 of Extra Pistachio Halva contaminated with Salmonella sp. 

The product is distributed nationwide and is sold in 16 and 32 ounce plastic container.

We have discontinued importing this item from Ghandour until the problem is resolved.

This product comes in a 1 oz clear plastic bag with English wording and aSPICES logo. The package is green, gold and white and approximately 6"x1.5" in size with the bar code number, 82699803113. The firm's name and address appears on the back of the plastic bag. Product sold after August 26, 2004, is being recalled.

The recalled aSPICES Brand product was sold in supermarkets throughout California.

The company is asking supermarkets to discontinue distribution of this product and to promptly return the product and stock on hand to the company for credit. Consumers should not consume this product and return this product to the point of purchase for a refund.

California Specialty Produce, Inc. of Vista, Ca is recalling Red Pear Tomatos, because they have the potential of being contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. 

Red Pear Tomatos were shipped to wholesalers who are restaurant suppliers in New York, California, and Colorado, in the cities of: Bronx, Yonkers, Los Angeles and Denver.

Red Pear Tomatos are small pear-shaped tomatos about ½ inch long, and were distributed in white cardboard California Specialty Produce boxes with green print. Inside they were packaged in 12 clear plastic clamshell containers without labels measuring approx. 5in X 4in and 2 and 1/2 inches deep.

Customers who have purchased Red Pear Tomatos from this company are urged to return them for a full refund.
