Hazard: The handles on the pancake makers are unable to withstand the
heat of the device, causing the handle to fail to provide support because of
melting or breaking.
Description: These "Pancake Express" pancake makers are
two-sided stove top skillets constructed of aluminum with black plastic
handles. The product is labeled "Pancake Express" and "Made in
China."
Sold at: Acme, Wal-Green's, Hy-Vee and Osco Drug stores nationwide from
May 2002 through July 2002 for about $20.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should return the pancake maker to Trivett to receive
a full refund, including the cost of postage.
