Kmart Corp., of Troy, Mich., is recalling about 85,550 "Splash Club" swim masks for children. The mask's glass lens can break into sharp pieces, causing lacerations to a child's face, eyes or hands.
The "Splash Club" Aquatic Child's Swim Mask is made of either purple, aqua or lime-green plastic. It has a clear glass lens and an adjustable head strap. "Tempered Splash Club Glass" is written on the mask. The mask is packaged in clear plastic with a cardboard insert labeled "Splash Club Aquatic Child's Swim Mask." The following UPC code is on the package: 072000 72970 0. The mask was made in China. Kmart and Super Kmart stores nationwide sold the swim masks from February 2000 to July 2000 for about $3.
